Living Well Where You Are
We all know the saying that the grass is greener on the other side, and it is very well known for good reason. There is something about the human race where we are always looking for something better. It just seems to us that things are not quite as good as they could be where we are. We might even feel things are a bit unfair and it won’t be like that if we move. Over there I will be treated fairly. Over there I will be surrounded by people who are more kind and understand me better. Over there I will have more opportunities. Over there I will be more appreciated. And so, we build up these ideas in our mind about something else that we actually need in our lives and we start to lose focus on the things that are right in front of our eyes. But the prophet Jeremiah gives us step by step instructions for living well where we are.
