Some Words from Phil

Hi Everyone
I hope you have all enjoyed the winter week in Mauritius. Temperatures plummeted to under 20 degC in Tamarin, and I even saw some people wearing puffer jackets to keep warm. Coffee consumption doubled during the week, and the sale of soup also reached record highs.
Yet, there is something wonderful about a change in season. It is a reminder that circumstances change. Whether we are experiencing trouble and hardship or contentment and joy, we can be sure that this season won’t last forever. Unfortunately, we often let seasons dictate our mood, our attitude, and even our obedience.
But, even though the seasons change, God remains the same. He cares for us, he walks with us, he works in our lives to transform us into the image of his Son, he leads us, he counsels us, he empowers us to do his will. Even though we fail him and change our attitude or our obedience as the seasons change – he will never fail us.
If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. – 2 Timothy 2:13 (NIV)
May God watch over you and keep you in every season of your life.
God bless, Phil
A Special Message from Roger
Hi All,
As my 3-month visit comes to an end soon, I’ve been reflecting and looking back on my time here, and I am filled with gratitude and thankfulness. I am thankful for every conversation, every coffee, every shared meal, every word of encouragement, every song sung, and every prayer prayed! It has been wonderful meeting some new people and getting to know some others better. I cherish these moments and hope and pray that you will continue to show love & hospitality to all who might come through your community.
I would like to encourage you all from Colossians 3:16-17, which says:
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
God bless, Roger

Last Sunday's Message
On Sunday, Phil shared the second message of an excellent series on what it means to be a friend of God.
We can have large networks of relationships and even people that we connect with at a limited level. But we can only have a few friends who become close confidants, where we know each other intimately and love each other deeply. While we must love everyone and care for everyone, we can still build godly relationships with a few close friends. The closest human friendship we can have is with our spouse, but even this relationship is only a reflection of our friendship with God.
If you missed this message on Sunday, you can find it here or on our YouTube channel: Redeemer Church Mu.
