Frequently Asked Questions
Our services have a welcoming atmosphere, with a time of singing songs of worship, followed by preaching from the Bible. A typical service usually lasts about an hour with tea and coffee afterwards as we enjoy getting to know one another better in an informal setting.
On the first Sunday of every month, we share a time of Communion together during the service.
Yes, you can.
Our online video follows the same format as our Sunday services. The service is live-streamed from our Black River location and consists of a short welcome, a time of worship and a message from the Bible.
You can find the online video here every Sunday morning from 9:30 am.
We have 3 services every Sunday:
Black River: 9:30 am
Mahebourg: 9:30 am
Online Service: 9:30 am
All our services – Black River, Mahebourg and Online – are in English. However, we also sing some songs in French too.
We have an active Kids’ Ministry programme that takes place during the service every Sunday during the school term in Black River. Our classes start from 3 years old and include kids’ worship and a message.
We also have a Toddler’s Room for children aged 1 to 3 and a Mother’s Room for babies, both with sound, so parents can still hear the message being preached.
Redeemer Church has no dress code. You can come in whatever you feel comfortable in. Some people will wear smarter clothes, and others tend to come in shorts or jeans. It’s up to you. Flip flops are even welcome!
Our Black River location has parking inside the church grounds and our Mahebourg location has parking on the open land next to the building.
