Nicodemus was one of the most religious men of his day. He knew the Scriptures, lived a moral life, was respected by others and was a recognised spiritual leader. Yet when he came to Jesus, Jesus did not tell him to become more religious. He told him: “You must be born again.” (John 3:7)

Nicodemus shows us that it is possible to grow up around Christianity, know the Bible, attend church and live a respectable life, yet still not personally know God.
