An attitude of humility versus pride is vital for any Christian, especially when you consider the way God responds to these attitudes of the heart. He tells us in the book of James that He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Unfortunately, pride is something that seems very easy to identify in other people’s lives but not nearly so easy to identify in our own. But through the scriptures, we can identify pride in our lives and take steps to clothe ourselves with humility before we look into the lives of others.
