The Psalms is a book of praise written over 900 years by more than seven authors. The largest contribution came from King David, who wrote 75 Psalms. We should study the Psalms because: They teach us to meditate on God. They teach us to praise and show us how to praise God. The teach us to have faith in our troubles and to receive comfort from God. They teach us how to have passion for God’s mission. And they teach us to value and practice corporate worship and private devotion.

In Psalm 19, we find the voice of creation praising God, the voice of the law declaring God’s wisdom, and the voice of a servant offering a prayer of forgiveness and acceptance.
