Some Words from Phil
Hi Everyone.
Thank you for joining us in prayer for Madagascar last week. The situation seems calm, but there is a long journey ahead. Kim is trusting for a reformation and revival of true faith in Madagascar, which can only come from God. Let’s pray that these political events will catalyse a spiritual transformation.
We also ask for prayer for Nick Hardy (a friend and mentor to Redeemer Church), who suffered a cardio incident yesterday. He is stable and recovering well by the grace of God. Please pray for Nick’s health, Katie and the family, as well as Red. Point Church in this season of trial. Leigh and I will be visiting Red. Point in November to encourage their leaders and preach on Sunday, 9th Nov. This trip has been planned for some time as a return to the church that sent us and to give them feedback about what is happening in Mauritius.
It is a privilege to partner with so many friends and churches around the world – to carry each other’s burdens and to strengthen each other. No church is an island, and no person is either. Please make sure you are connected to people and sharing your life so that we all have someone nearby to lift us when we fall.
God bless, Phil
Elder's Corner: A Message from Doné
Finding Strength in Every Season
There are seasons in life that fill our hearts with joy, and others that test the very foundation of our faith. Yet in every moment, whether we are on the mountaintops or the valleys, God remains faithful. He does not change when our circumstances do.
As I reflect on the past months, I’m reminded how often we rush through life trying to hold everything together on our own. But Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me” (Psalm 28:7). True strength isn’t found in how much we can carry, but in how deeply we trust the One who carries us.
Maybe you find yourself weary, waiting for breakthrough or clarity. Take heart, God is working even in the silence. His plans for you haven’t been cancelled, they’re being cultivated. Often, what feels like delay is preparation for something greater.
As a church family, let’s continue to stand together praying for one another, encouraging those who are struggling, and celebrating God’s goodness in every story. Together, we remind the world that hope is alive because Jesus is alive.
May the season ahead renew your faith, restore your joy, and remind you that you are never alone. The same God who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
Have a blessed week!
Doné
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.”
~ Psalm 28:7 ~
Last Sunday's Message
The heroes of Hebrews 11 all trusted God and took him at his word. They acted in faith as a response to the Word of God, and they each accomplished something in their lives because of that faith. In one way, each story is unique and unrepeatable. But in another way, they provide a model for us to follow as we seek to live by faith in our own context.
Rahab was a Canaanite woman who was a citizen of a city about to be destroyed because of its sin. But she believed God, pledged her allegiance to God and his people, and saved herself and her family through her faith.

By Faith Series
It was wonderful to have Andrew and Fiona Thomson and their children visiting us from Church on Main in Cape Town, South Africa, over the last 10 days.
While he was here, Andrew shared a 4-part series called By Faith, based on Hebrews chapter 11. If you missed any of the sessions, or would like to watch them again, we have placed them all into a single playlist on our YouTube Channel here.
