If you read through the gospel accounts of Jesus, you will find that there are occasions where Jesus uses a question someone asks him as the basis for a message. He also uses current events – things that are on people’s minds and things that they are talking about. That is what I am going to do this morning too. I am sure most of you will have seen the viral footage of the couple caught in the spotlight at a Coldplay concert on Wednesday night. It was a very normal occurrence at a Coldplay concert – a romantic song comes on, the kissing cam highlights people in the crowd. But this time – the couple are obviously in great distress at being exposed on the big screen. He ducks for cover, trying to get out of the shot, she turns her back on the camera in embarrassment. Chris Martin jokes from the mic that they are obviously very shy or having an affair – and then the internet sleuths were out. They identified the pair as two work colleagues and what seems to be an affair is now the subject of public scrutiny and debate.
