1 Kings tells us the story of Elijah challenging the prophets of Baal and proving God’s power and sovereignty to the Israelite nation. God answered Elijah’s prayer and the Israelites’ hearts turned back to God. Sometimes it’s easy to be swayed by the things of the world, but God calls us to turn to him and follow the example of Jesus in how we live our lives – to live as children of light.
