Jesus tells the story of a woman who lost a coin that was very precious to her. We can picture her lighting a lamp and getting on her hands and knees to sweep through the dust of the house and find this coin of great value. We often look for our own value and self-worth in the dusty places of life on earth that will never satisfy our longing. Only when we live in relationship with our creator, in his purpose and will, do we come to realise how valuable we are to him. This is where we find our true self-worth.
