The Good Samaritan is a story of grace. It is about a man who cares for someone who has been beaten up and left for dead. There is no reason for him to do it, he just responds to the need with mercy and compassion. It’s the same way Jesus treats us by coming to our rescue when we couldn’t rescue ourselves. Not only that, but he takes us on the journey with him and invests in our future so that we can also reach out to others in need of help.
