The word we translate as faithful in the Old Testament of the bible can also be translated as truth. God is truth – there is nothing false in God. With God, he is who he says he is. What you see is what you get – there is no deceit or manipulation or pulling the wool over your eyes. God is truth. But the word faithful also means stable and reliable. It means to be completely trustworthy and to remain trustworthy.
