After Jesus was baptised and the Holy Spirit descended on him like a dove, he was led out into the wilderness to fast. During his physical weakness, the devil came to tempt him several times. Each time Jesus resisted the temptation using scriptures in his defence. As we look forward to Easter, we are reminded of the great exchange. Jesus took our failure and he gave us his victory so that we can also resist temptation in our own wilderness.
