Through his death and resurrection, Jesus has given us the gift of abundant life. Maybe you feel like you have lost your opportunity for the abundant life and that you just have to settle with the best you can get. But is our definition of the abundant life even true?

Abundant life means being able to enter the Father’s presence at any time. It means knowing that forgiveness is waiting for you whenever you fall; telling him your most intimate desires and fears and listening as he shares his heart with yours. Abundant life means knowing that even if it feels like he is far away, he has promised to never leave you or forsake you and that he is actually very near. Abundant life means trusting his words more than you trust your feelings. It means actively reminding yourself that Jesus took your isolation and gave you his life. It is finished. It is done. It is yours.
