One person’s life can be the source of great inspiration for others to follow in their footsteps of faith, obedience and sacrifice. Many missionaries have inspired others to also enter the mission field, but Jesus is our ultimate example and inspiration. He gave up everything to reach out to a lost and broken human race. Eventually, he paid the ultimate price of laying down his life so that we can receive right standing with God. And now he asks of us to respond with lives of extravagant worship. We can respond by being part of a local community in time, commitment, participation, prayers, finances, service – so that we can thrust out others to serve God on the island and beyond. And we can respond by being a witness wherever we are and with whomever we are with – taking up the call to be a missionary in our own neighbourhood.
