The bible encourages us to reflect upon the lives of our leaders and mentors and to consider the outcome of their way of life. We are to reflect on the fruit of their lives and to follow the example that they have set for us. Although Richard and Barbara may be completely unknown to many of you, they have been a highly influential couple in the life of the church for the last 13 or 14 years. They have served in leadership roles in the past and also just served this community without any official role as a natural expression of their faith in God. May God grant that we might all walk in their footsteps and finish our race as well as they are finishing theirs.
