Experience of lockdown has taught us that it is possible to stay at home and still have everything you need. Within each of our neighbourhoods, we could order, borrow or find anything we need to survive. In the same way, it is easy to grow comfortable inside our church community. We might find everything we need in our Christian friendship circles but there is a lost and desperate world outside. Jesus commanded us to “GO” in the great commission. We have a responsibility to Him and to the world around us. We are to be His witnesses to people who need His salvation. Dave Davidson, a Christian author, once said: “If you find a cure for cancer, wouldn’t it be inconceivable to hide it from the rest of mankind? How much more inconceivable to keep silent about the cure from the eternal wages of death.”
