Paul experienced freedom as a Jewish-Roman Citizen and imprisonment as a Christian. While we might not face physical imprisonment, we are faced with circumstances that can feel like a virtual prison. Freedom is something we all desire and as Christians, there is an expectation that we will experience this freedom daily.

When observing Paul’s life it is clear that we will face trials and tribulations in life. However, his perspective on life is a testimony on how to handle hardship and challenges. He managed to experience freedom and peace while in prison. He composed many letters to the early church encouraging them in their faith while experiencing persecution.

His perspective during persecution assists us to attain the same freedom when facing tough times.
