Many Christians go through hard times and find themselves in a place where they can only trust in God. The scriptures describe these seasons of our lives as tests that examine the purity of our faith and our faithfulness. Passing this test doesn’t necessarily mean doing great things or winning great victories. It has more to do with standing our ground, even when we are under pressure. Paul commends Apelles because his fidelity passed the test and demonstrated to everyone that his faith was authentic. The question is: Will people say the same of us when we find ourselves in challenging circumstances?
