The church in Antioch started from a few believers sharing the message of Jesus to people of other religions – gentiles. From those small beginnings grew a community that was first to be called Christians. Something about this group of people reminded others about Jesus. The way they lived their lives, their attitudes, their love – all these attributes pointed people to Jesus. This is what every church should be like. Every church should be sharing the message of Jesus with others and should be growing to become more and more like Jesus.
