The state of the foundation is the vital part that determines whether a building will stand or fall when bad weather comes rushing in. The same is true of our spiritual lives. We can build on shaky foundations like popularity or wealth or ambition, or we can build on the solid foundation of God’s Word with Jesus as our cornerstone. You might need to strengthen your foundations to support your building, or you might need to build a bigger building because your foundation is secure. Maybe, you don’t have a foundation at all and today is your opportunity to lay the cornerstone for a sure foundation in your life by putting your faith in Jesus.
